David Wilcox: 1.17-18.17
No, that show date isn't a typo or failed palindrome. For the first time ever, we're hosting a two-night stand! And holy cats, what a special one it will be. We're humbled and delighted to welcome back our friend David Wilcox for two fireside performances to brighten your post-holiday, mid-winter weeknights. Yes, fireside! We're moving from the living/dining room to the den, cozying up around the hearth, and presenting two intimate, one-of-a-kind shows with one of the most gifted, admired, and moving singer-songwriters wandering the earth today. And we're so excited that Justin Farren will be coming back to Memphis to join David for these shows. We met - and all fell giddily in love with - Justin at David's November 2015 house concert. Since then, he's straight-up won the 2016 Kerrville New Folk competition. I'm not saying those two facts are related, but no one can prove they're not. I LOVE DAVID AND JUSTIN! HOW DO I COME TO A SHOW? CAN I COME TO BOTH? These shows will happen on Tuesday, January 17 and Wednesday, January 18. The suggested (minimum!) donation for these events is $50 per guest, all of which will go directly to the artist. These are privately hosted events, so please email rsvp@folkallyall.com to request an invitation for your preferred show night and get location details. We want to make sure as many people get a chance to come as possible, so if you would like to attend both shows, please email with your first choice of date and indicate that you'd like to be put on reserve for the second night. It’s a party, so delicious food, adult beverages, and copacetic company will be provided. To make a donation*, click here. HOLIDAY JOY: If you want to "gift" your donation to a loved one for the holidays, include that information in the "special instructions" and we'll provide you with a card to share. The video above was taken at one of our previous shows with David. If this doesn't inspire you to join us, nothing will. *Please keep in mind that if you donate in advance or at the event, your donation is non-refundable. It is not a ticket. It is a freewill offering and not a direct exchange for goods or services. All event donations go directly to artists immediately after their appearances, whether you’re there or not.
